Job summary
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Applied Psychologist (HCPC registered) or Psychological therapist (trained in an evidence based psychological therapy such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, registered with relevant professional body) to join us at our Redcar community team at a time of community transformation.
The post would suit an enthusiastic Applied Psychologist or Psychological Therapist, valuing the opportunity to work collaboratively with members of a well-established multi-disciplinary team. A key part of this role will be using clinical leadership skills to embed formulations, psychological understanding, and psychosocial interventions in everyday practice.
The post holder will work across the treatment & intervention team and the community hub delivering effective, safe, and compassionate care. As a service, we are keen to support and invest in the ongoing development of our Psychology Professionals through CPD opportunities, so an interest in developing clinical skills across a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches is essential.
As a service we are responsive to the wellbeing of our psychology team and place a strong emphasis on self-care and supporting one another. This means there are clear job plans and people are encouraged to maintain a work/ life balance. We pride ourselves in building a positive working atmosphere and opportunities for development.
Psychologists & Psychological Therapists provide key leadership roles within the Trust. To support this we have developed leadership profiles for each psychology band and the profile card associated with this post is attached on NHS Jobs. You can find more information about the NHS Leadership Academy's Healthcare Leadership Model and the profiles at their website. We encourage you to look at these resources as they will play a part in the interview process.
