An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward-thinking and highly dynamic Outpatient Physiotherapy service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinician to become a key member of our expert MSK team.
This role offers the chance to work within a progressive service delivering advanced assessment, management, and treatment of a diverse MSK patient population. Our department provides a wide range of innovative services, including, diagnostic ultrasound, injection therapy, hydrotherapy, gym-based rehabilitation, First Contact Practitioner (FCP) clinics, shockwave therapy, and acupuncture--offering excellent opportunities to further develop your clinical expertise.
You will play a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership, supporting and mentoring junior staff and students, and actively contributing to the training and development of the wider team. The post holder will work collaboratively with Trauma & Orthopaedics consultants, clinical specialists, and MSK therapy leads, helping to shape and enhance clinical pathways across the service.

Main duties of the job
To deliver advanced Physiotherapy assessment, advice and treatment of patients and act as a source of expertise to fellow clinicians, Trust managers, Healthcare Professionals and other services internal and external to the Trust as required.
To lead in the advanced therapeutic assessment, management and treatment of MSK patients, possibly with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions including pain and rheumatology to develop and deliver an individualised specialist treatment programme
To work under the supervision of Consultants in clinic settings as/if required and to assist in the 18 week targets. Site of working will be flexible based on the service need (A main site will be identified). To work as part of the FCP service delivered by the MSK outpatients team.
To lead in training and development of clinical practice and service. To undertake clinical audits and evaluation of evidence based practice, initiating/participating in research within specialist area.
To use a high degree of analytical skills and judgment to plan, develop and implement strategic and operational management and delivery of the therapy service, in collaboration with Lead therapist and Managers.
To manage, supervise and appraise staff and students within the specialist area

Qualifications
Essential
- * Good standard of general education including GCSE English and maths grade c or above
- * A Levels or equivalent qualification
- * Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
- * Registered with HCPC
- * Evidence of CPD including recent post graduate training relevant to clinical speciality
Desirable
- * Evidence of leadership training
- * Fieldwork Educator's certificate or attendance at Clinical Educators Course
Experience
Essential
- * Substantial and relevant post registration experience, providing a broad range of experience in core areas within a healthcare setting.
- * Significant Experience in MSK within various settings of the MSK field e.g. Acute / Specialist clinics for e.g. Pain,Rheumatology
- * Highly developed professional clinical skills.
- * Experience of effective staff management and leadership
- * Interdisciplinary working.
- * Team/service development.
- * Implementation of change management principles.
- * Experience of dealing with people who display inappropriate behaviours e.g. verbal or physical aggression, in sensitive and potentially hostile situations
- * Demonstration of specialist knowledge across a range of Physiotherapy procedures, practices and treatments, routine and non routine, requiring expertise within the particular field * Appropriate Theoretical and practical experience
