Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced band 6 Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our dynamic Occupational Health & Wellbeing Team on the bank, on a flexible basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, proactive occupational health service, supporting both Trust staff and external clients. The role forms part of a service that is continually evolving to deliver impactful, preventative interventions that promote workforce health, wellbeing, and attendance.

As a bank worker, you will provide additional resource and flexibility to support service demands. The role may be utilised across a range of occupational health activities, including case management, health surveillance, immunisation programmes, and wellbeing initiatives, helping to maintain service capacity during periods of increased demand.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health service, including management referrals, fitness for work assessments and health surveillance
  • Manage a caseload autonomously, including rehabilitation and return-to-work planning
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Contribute to service transformation and improvement, supporting delivery of high-impact wellbeing interventions
  • Engage with staff and managers to promote health, wellbeing and safe working practice

Qualifications, Education and Training

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (NMC Part 1)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (or working towards) or equivalent experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of working in NHS occupational health
