Cardiology Support Worker

Full time (37.5 hours per week)

We are looking for a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team and expanding Cardiac Physiology Service. Our main goal is to provide outstanding patient centred care. The Cardiac Investigations Unit at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight is a small but busy department, offering a range of invasive and non-invasive services to patients needing diagnostic investigations and treatment within our hospital and expanding to the new Community Diagnostic Centre.

The Cardiac Support Worker role is an exciting new opportunity for individuals to have a learning pathway in Cardiac Investigations and to support the smooth running of our service. The individual will be supporting Consulting clinics whist learning clinical skills such as 12 lead ECG analysis, 24hr ECG and BP application.

Job responsibilities

The Cardiac Support Worker, under the supervision of registered staff, will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standard of practice in the care, treatment, and support of cardiology patients. You shall work directly with Cardiac Physiologists and Physiology Associates, supporting the effective running of cardiology clinics and providing effective clinical support.
