PERMANENT (36 hours)

As a key member of our senior team, the successful candidate will bring substantial experience in an adult Critical Care environment and hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in Critical Care. Main duties of the job

Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate patient care, liaising with relevant disciplines and external agencies asrequired.

Ensure delivery of holistic, individualised care that recognises the needs of patients and their families.

Lead the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of patient care and rehabilitation programmes, in line with the NMC Code and Trust policies.

Monitor the standards of care delivered to Critical Care patients throughout their Critical Care journey.

Identifyand implement opportunities for improvement through research, evidence-basedpracticeand quality initiatives.

Evaluate the impact of practice changes on patient care and service delivery.

Ensure safe andappropriate useand security of all equipment within Critical Care.

Provide a visible point of contact and support for staff,patientsand relatives.

Ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care, and that information is shared appropriately to support informed decision-making.

- First level registration
- Post Graduate Academic Award in Critical Care
- Evidence of Leadership/Management
- Recognised course in teaching & assessing

- Evidence of working towards or completion of CCN4 competencies
Experience

- Extensive experience of working in Critical Care
- Demonstrable leadership experience within a critical care setting
- Experience contributing to service development, quality improvement or change management
- Experience supporting the development of others (e.g., supervision, preceptorship, teaching)

- Demonstrates strong clinical credibility
- Proven ability to teach, assess and share specialist knowledge
