This is a part time post working 22.5 hours per week.
We are dedicated to continuous service development and offer a range of opportunities for professional growth through both formal and informal training, as well as regular supervision. Many of our team members have progressed into leadership roles, including Team Leader positions, and we have supported staff to develop into Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
The team is based at Kidderminster Hospital, delivering a county-wide service with flexible working options, including home working and access to other Trust sites. Staff are aligned to geographical areas, with this post covering south Worcestershire.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with specialist interest and experience in dementia to join the Early Intervention Dementia Service (EIDS).
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a community-based multidisciplinary team, delivering assessment, diagnosis, and post-diagnostic support to individuals and their families across Worcestershire.
The role is diverse, with a strong focus on core occupational therapy principles. You will undertake functional assessments to support diagnosis, evaluate the impact of cognitive and mental health conditions on activities of daily living, and contribute to risk assessment and care planning. The role also includes use of standardised cognitive tools (e.g. Addenbrookes Cognitive Examination), assistive technology assessment, activity analysis, carer support, group interventions, and promoting wellbeing through community engagement.
You will contribute to delivering therapeutic groups, including the Living Well with Dementia programme. Experience in group work and working collaboratively with patients and carers is essential.
