Dudley Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team

To deliver a fast paced ever evolving Mental Health Service, we need nurses who like to be in a fact paced environment and who can flex and adapt to the needs in the moment. No 2 days are the same.

BCHFT CRHT is always looking for ambitious, capable individuals who share can support preventing hospital admissions by providing top class care to patients in their own home. You will not be carrying your own caseload, this is a team caseload.

Main duties of the job

We currently have a vacancies for Band 6 Mental Health Professionals to support the on going development for Pan Trust Services. This provides an opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse/Community Psychiatric Nurse to support and further develop our expanding Crisis Home Treatment Team. The post holder will work with a full Multi-Disciplinary Team to develop and provide a range of support to patients and their relatives. The successful candidates will need to be able to work effectively at a range of levels and situations. The post holder will require enthusiasm for service development and the ability to work with a complex and changing service therefore excellent communication and leadership skills are required.

Dudley Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team is committed to delivering high quality safe care to service users with acute mental health symptoms, in their own homes. The team provides intensive levels of support to prevent hospital admissions . The service currently operates 24/7 365 days a year therefore nightshifts, weekends and bank holidays will be part of the shift pattern.

You will need to be able to identify if the risks are increasing and come back to the MDT to discuss the need to request a MHA assessment. We are the gatekeepers for patients who might need a bed within the Trust so you will need to be attending MHA assessments as part of your role and alerting bed management to needs.

  • Education/Qualification: RMN, current registration, evidence of continued development
  • Experience: managing acute mental illness, previous B5 post, case management, strong clinical leadership, audit processes. MDT working, supervision
