Infection Prevention & Control Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Infection Prevention & Control Service team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust for a 9 month secondment/fixed term contract.

The Infection Prevention & Control Service is seeking to appoint a full time Band 6 Infection Prevention & Control Nurse to complete the team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who wishes to expand their knowledge, experience and learn new skills within a dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a sound knowledge of clinical nursing, excellent clinical skills and experience working in the field of infection prevention & control. You will need to be able to empower staff and facilitate effective infection prevention & control practice within the organisation.

Main duties of the job

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are vital, with an ability to motivate others, prioritise your workload and have a positive approach due to the challenging work, as no two days are the same.

As the service covers off site facilities, community sites as well as the Stepping Hill site the ability to be able to visit these is an essential part of the role.

You will be required to work to high standards maintaining a high-quality finish to aspects of your work.   • Registered Nurse on NMC register
