Registered Manager - Children and Young People
Carlisle, Cumbria

Our client, a reputable provider of young people residential care services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established dual-registered service supporting young people. These settled services benefit from full staffing teams and dedicated assistant managers in each home, offering a supportive environment for both staff and residents.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
  • Overseeing staff teams, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
  • Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of young people.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining excellent relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Supporting staff development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven leadership skills within social care, with experience managing large homes or services supporting young people.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations and care standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff teams.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Level 3 Children and Your People Workforce/Residential Child Care and/or Level 5 management qualification in social care (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing a large or complex care service.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary: £52,232 (if ready to step up from Deputy Manager holding a Level 3 qualification), or £59,802 (with Level 5 and 12 months experience managing large homes).
  • £5,000 joining fee (first £2,500 paid in initial pay, second after 6 months).
