Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for full or part time permanent band 5 occupational therapist to join our rotation programme. This post provides the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, knowledge and leadership within the acute setting. This role would be suitable for an occupational therapist who is seeking to develop their clinical and leadership skills in a fast paced and supportive service. You will benefit from experiencing a range of in-patient and community 6 month rotations. This may include critical care, medicine, respiratory, surgery, acute stroke, admission avoidance, community, reablement bedded settings and hand therapy. Some of the rotation teams roster over a seven-day period.
Main duties of the job
To provide assessments and interventions to patients within the rotational settings. To participate in professional supervision and training for other occupational therapists, students and therapy support staff. To assist the team lead with delivering and evaluating the service provided to patients, on a day-to-day basis. To provide additional support in the absence of the senior staff as required. To actively contribute to service improvements to ensure practice is of the highest quality, evidence based and meets the needs of the local population.
