You will work closely with a range of surgical MDTs, supporting staff, maintaining high clinical standards, and ensuring safe, effective care for our patients.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Team Leader, you would play a clinical role whereby the post holder will be responsible for the provision of quality patient care through clear clinical leadership.

To be a clinical expert and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care centred in promoting patient safety in the unit.

To promote and ensure continued development of the service in line with Trust, local and national initiatives.

To effectively manage and lead the nursing team and work proactively with the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with the Ward manger.

To provide effective leadership and direction over unit staff and deputise for the ward manager in their absence.

To act as a resource and have specialist interest in teaching and development of the nursing staff whilst ensuring mandatory and in house training is maintained.
