We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Palliative Care Centre as a Sister/Charge Nurse. In this role, you will provide visible clinical leadership, support safe and effective day-to-day ward management, and act as a role model for high-quality nursing practice. You will work closely with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure care is delivered with kindness, professionalism, and respect.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (valid with NMC)
  • To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
  • Evidence of academic achievement or working towards Degree level of study.
  • Evidence of postgraduate study relevant to role or must be willing to work towards

Desirable

  • Evidence of academic achievement or working towards MSC level of study.

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant post registration experience (e.g. Palliative Care)
  • Evidence of management experience
  • Evidence of personal and professional development
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • An understanding of patient flow in a busy acute area

Desirable

  • Leadership Qualification
  • Audit / Research

Further Training

Essential

  • Core, Relevant Specialist and Management Competencies appropriate to the role
  • Commitment to continuous personal development.
