We are looking for experienced, forward-thinking, supportive and friendly Physiotherapist who would like to specialise within paediatrics to be based at Broomfield Hospital, working within the Children's Therapy Service. We are a cross site team so job plan may include sessions at Broomfield, Basildon and / or Southend Hospital. You will be part of a well led, dynamic and friendly MSE wide team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants, who constantly strive for integrated working - optimising patient care and team morale. The team works together to achieve both positive patient experience and successful outcomes. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for Physiotherapy and a desire to actively participate in all aspects of the role. The successful candidate must be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate evidence of recent professional learning. Main duties of the job
This post will allow experienced Physiotherapists with existing post-graduate knowledge and skills, to develop expertise within paediatrics and advanced clinical skills across a broad range of paediatric conditions and settings. You will gain experience in a range of paediatric settings, including inpatients and musculoskeletal outpatients. There may be opportunities for involvement in MDT outpatient clinics such as rheumatology, orthopaedic and oncology clinics. There may be opportunity to work in hydrotherapy, with neonates and in neurodevelopmental follow up clinics.
You will play an important role in supervising, teaching and supporting junior staff, therapy assistants and Physiotherapy students, helping to shape the next generation of clinicians. You may also contribute to departmental audit and research, supporting service improvement and the development of best practice.
As part of Mid and South Essex, Broomfield Hospital offers a dynamic and forward-thinking environment with a highly regarded, integrated Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Therapy Assistant service. You will bring experience of working in an acute hospital, confidently managing complex discharges and using advanced assessment and problem-solving skills. Supervision responsibilities form a key part of this post, supported by a friendly and collaborative Therapy Services department committed to staff development, regular clinical supervision, rotational opportunities and annual appraisal

- Graduate diploma or degree in physiotherapy
- HCPC registered as an physiotherapist

- Member of CSP or equivalent professional body

Knowledge and Experience

- Broad range of clinical experience at junior level including respiratory, orthopaedics, MSK OP and neuro
- Experience working within the NHS
- Experience working with children
