The Acute Medical Unit is looking to recruit exceptional nurses that enjoy fast pace, quick turn over nursing care whilst providing quality patient centered care.
AMU is a 49 bedded unit where we work closely with the multi disciplinary team. You will be providing care to Acute medical patients in the first phase of illness.

Job responsibilities
We can offer you a supportive bespoke programme designed to meet the needs of your own professional development, this includes supernumerary period with a dedicated preceptor, close involvement with our practice education nurse who will work with you to achieve further nursing skills, attendance at the bespoke Peceptorship programme and a variety of initiatives on the unit to support your well being. These include a dedicated staff room, access to lockers for the duration of your shift and a 'wobble' room for staff to visit if they are feeling overwhelmed and need some peace and quiet. We also provide a yearly study day to ensure you are kept up to date and options available for funding for further studies.
We have part time hours available and flexible working can also be discussed but you must be able to work a variety of days, nights and weekends.

Main Responsibilities
To co-ordinate and provide skilled nursing care (without direct supervision) to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC Code of Conduct. To contribute to the continued development of nursing staff, including the supervision of junior nurses and support staff.
To work collaboratively within a Multidisciplinary team, internal and external to the organisation, to facilitate holistic seamless care delivery for all Trust Patients.
To manage a designated bay of patients where you assess, plan, implement and evaluate their care needs before either discharging them or transferring them to one of our base wards for further treatment and to ensure a continued patient flow through the trust.
