BAND 7 Superintendent Radiographer FULL TIME - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

We are seeking a dynamic Superintendent to oversee the General department at Pilgrim Hospital. This is a very busy department currently covering many areas including, peripheral hospitals, and the Skegness Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This is also an exciting opportunity to be involved and gain invaluable experience and help develop the new CDC service at Boston.

Responsible for day-to-day running of the department. Clinical leadership, staff management, training, and safety. Sickness management, staff appraisals. Deputising for the Modality Lead delivering departmental and trust objectives.

Job responsibilities

To effectively manage resources to deliver a responsive Imaging Department this includes fluoroscopy, A & E , theatre radiography.To deputise and act for the Modality lead as required and ensure effective use of all resources throughout the Imaging Department. Undertake a range of clinical imaging duties.To undertake advanced practice in area of specialityTo actively contribute to the overall departmental operational and strategic management process.

Expectation of occasional pan trust cover if required

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc (Hons) or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
  • PgC in radiography speciality/management-must achieve within 12 months of appointment
  • HPC registration
  • Management Programme

Desirable

  • MSc Post Graduate or equivalent
  • Advanced Practice skills e.g PgC

Evidence of Particular: - Knowledge - Skills - Aptitudes

Essential

  • Evidence of successful supervision /management of a team inc Personnel/HR, Governance, H&S, Quality/Standards, Risk, Radiation Protection, waiting time delivery/capacity & demand, budgetary control
  • Evidence of on-going CPD UK experience
