We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our motivated and enthusiastic RADS team working across the Emergency Department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. We are seeking applicants who are team players and enjoy the challenge of the acute setting.
Main duties of the job

The Therapy Service at UHL has a high profile within the Trust, this being reflected across our Emergency floor and the delivery of a Rapid Assessment and Discharge Service (RADS).
The RADS team are responsible for delivering comprehensive assessments for patients in our Emergency Department, Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit, Acute Frailty Unit and Medical Admissions Units. You will be working alongside a large Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to support admission avoidance, optimise patient flow and enable timely discharges of patients. Furthermore, we are passionate abot promoting independence and preventing deconditioning in hospital.
The successful candidate would need to be flexible in their working as the service is provided over 7 days a week between 8am and 8pm. This is an exciting time for the team as we are developing a proactive response to the challenges of current healthcare.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is committed to delivering high quality care in a busy environment. You will have the opportunity to develop and broaden your clinical skills alongside contributing to service development, clinical research and audits. As a team we pride ourselves on all providing a strong and supportive learning environment for all, including students.
You will receive regular supervision, yearly appraisal and regular in-service training. You will be encouraged and facilitated to seek learning opportunities in support of your continual professional development.

- Diploma in Physiotherapy or BSC (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent
- State Registered Physiotherapist with Current HCPC registration
- Evidence of up to date professional portfolio with evidence of CPD and reflective practise

- Evidence of experience of working as part of a team
- Evidence of a wide range of student clinical placements including experience of treating patients with respiratory, orthopaedic medical and neurological conditionings.
