An effective member of the Directorate of Radiology by providing a highstandard of radiographic service and patient care. There is a requirement toparticipate in a flexible working hours system and an on-call system.
Main duties of the job
- Performance of clinical radiographic duties as delegated by theSuperintendent Radiographer in each section
- To participate in departmental planned out of hours working and theradiographic on-call rota
- To practice within the rules of the Health Professions Council
- Assist in training of student radiographers and assistant practitioners

Job responsibilities
- Ensure radiation doses to every patient are as low as reasonablyachievable (ALARA) consistent with a diagnostic result
- To comply with IR(ME)R 2000 & IRR99
- Participate in the radiographic rotation
- To maintain accurate documentation pertinent to the examination
- To work to radiographic protocols and policies as required under theionising radiation regulations
