Clinical Team Lead - Band 7 - 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leadership team within the Urgent Neighbourhood Services Directorate.

This will be a 6mth fixed term contract opportunity ending January 27. This post will offer a leadership opportunity supporting the centralised Advanced Clinical Practitioner service within the Directorate. You will work closely with the Senior Leads within the Directorate alongside driving the clinical and quality agenda of the services. This role will offer both clinical and operational exposure. It will offer both clinical and offer growth and development to the right individual

Main duties of the job

In conjunction with the Lead ACP/Pathway Lead - urgent Neighbourhood Services, provide effective leadership, monitoring of professional and care standards, and effective use of resources within the Directorate.To operationally manage and deputise for Lead ACP/Pathway lead when required.Be competent in the clinical assessment and management of identified patients within the community setting

Demonstrate clinical leadership to other more junior staff and participate in face to face assessment of patients.

Support and develop health and social care integration across sharing responsibilities for leadership and management of staff in multi-professional teams.

To be a visible and accessible presence in the clinical area where appropriate

To act as role model and mentor.To understand the clinical pathways aligned to Urgent Community Response, Virtual Ward and ensure the deteriorating patient is appropriately escalated. To ensure clinical competency frameworks are in operation To be responsible for ensuring the provision of compassionate, safe and high-quality patient careActively contribute to and support agreed developments within the Directorate with focus for supporting clinical effectiveness and innovative practice.To manage roster allocation for present and future shifts in order to provide safe staffing levels in line with the agreed workforce model.To lead the professional team on a daily basis using resources effectively and efficiently.

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.

Person Specification

Education & Qualification

Essential

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse
  • Leadership or management course or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Advanced Clinical skills or willingness to undertake
  • V300 Non medical prescribing or willingness to undertake

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • An understanding of the need of confidentiality awareness at all times.
  • Experience of working in a high performing team
  • Evidence of ability to effectively co-ordinate a team
  • Experience working within the community or urgent care setting

Desirable

  • Able to demonstrate awareness of or evidence of clinical governance
