We are seeking an experienced 8a General Operations Manager to be responsible for providing general management support across operations in the form of working with the Divisional Directors and Chief Operating Officer to support the development of policies and SOPs across operations including EPRR and Business Continuity Management plans and procedures across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be the responsible providing general management support across operations in the form of working with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) to support the development of policies and SOPs across the function through creating and maintaining systems and processors to support the effective
running of operations across the trust, including providing support for Emergency Planning and Resilience (EPRR) maintenance programmes. The post holder will manage the production and updating of operational plans and procedures including EPRR and Business Continuity Management plans and procedures across the Trust.

Job responsibilities
Managerial
Act as a source of expertise on the development of operational processors, policies, SOP, business planning and business continuity management.
Provide expert advice, information and support to senior managers and committees on matters relating to remit and ensure the Trust is kept informed of related national EPRR issues.
Develop and maintain operational plans, policies and systems.
Lead on the development of specific operations projects and work streams to support standardised service delivery
Represent the Trust and provide co-ordination of, and participation in relevant NHS and multi-agency working groups, exercises and events.
Provide support, advice and work alongside senior managers and director level to staff in the event of a local emergency, major incident or business interruption
Work with staff to plan, coordinate and test emergency and
business continuity plans in line with national guidance.
To chair relevant working groups when required.
To ensure compliance with all confidentiality and governance requirements within the Trust
Develop, monitor, revise and maintain operations core business, supporting agenda development, strategic objectives and the business planning process including EPRR deliverables.
Ensure the development of emergency planning and service planning within the Trust which improves health and wellbeing, demonstrating a high standard in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, safety, enhancing staff and the patient experience in line with Trust values
To work in partnership with others to deliver successful outcomes.
To ensure regular, productive and open communication with all staff ensuring compliance with performance targets and strategic objectives for emergency planning across the Trust.
To facilitate and support the development of relevant networks spanning health and social care organisations.
Deliver support Executive and senior managers of the Trust in responding to major incidents across the Black Country
To provide tactical support to the Trust Director on call for critical incidents, adverse media and emergencies
Be responsible for the management of and reporting of often complex information to relevant internal and external stakeholders
To maintain professional awareness of new initiatives, guidance and legislation and share as necessary
Develop and present reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress reports for groups or committees as directed from time to time
Operate within and provide enhancements to current management information and reporting to enhance decision making processes
Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of this post, mutually agreed by the post holder and accountable officers
Participate in the Trust Senior Manager On-Call (SMOC) rota
