Are you an experienced, professional Diagnostic Radiographer with a commitment to quality patient care and the driveto work within a high performing team? If so we invite you to join our friendly and dynamic Radiology Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.Due to expansion of the service, we currently have vacancies for a number of enthusiastic Band 6 Radiographers to work in our MRI department. The successful candidate must have at demonstrable post-registration skills and experience in MRI imaging.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work within the busy MRI department at the main Royal Berkshire Hospital site, participating in service delivery to a diversity of inpatient and outpatient presentations. There will also beopportunity for rotation to our Community Diagnostic Centre at West Berkshire Community Hospital, where a new state of the art MRI scanning facility is under development.You must be adaptable and be prepared to work evenings and weekends as part of seven-day service delivery.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively, both autonomously and within a team environment.Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Diagnostic Radiographers who satisfy the essential criteria of the person specification. - To provide a high standard of MRI imaging and ensure delivery of safe, compassionate and timelypatient care.- To communicate effectively with clinical, managerial, administrative and ancillary staff in order toensure a professional and timely service.- To act as a role model for the profession and participating in the supervision, training and support ofmore junior staff- To prioritise and organise the workload in response to clinical need and service demands.- The post holder must be willing to work across sites, and to take part in the provision of seven dayservice delivery- To deputise for Band 7 radiographers as required.- The post holder is expected to have a broad knowledge of pathology and physiology relevant to MRIimaging.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography State registration: HCPC
- Evidence of significant continuous professional development (CPD)
Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 18 months recent, proven experience post registration
- Experience of working as an integral part of a successful team
- Experience of communicating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in supervising student radiographers, newly qualified and newly appointed staff
- Broad knowledge of pathology and physiology relevant to cross sectional imaging
