Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Directorates for Operating Services, Critical Care & Anaesthesia (OSCCA) and South Yorkshire Regional Services (SYRS) who are seeking newly qualified Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) to work in our top quality, modern operating theatres and theatre recovery. You would be working with multidisciplinary teams providing a high standard of care for patients across South Yorkshire and the Humber region.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the department to provide the highest standards of patient care using evident based practice.
To perform the competencies of a Registered Operating Department Practitioner and in addition any competencies associated with the allocated specialties.
Following training and after experience in the post the candidate will be required to support with the teaching and assessment of learners in the department.
The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients undergoing theatre procedures or during their pre and post operative stay.

- Working towards completion of Operating Department Practice training programme to obtain HCPC registration
Experience
