Job summary
We have a rare opportunity for a motivated, clinically credible and astute practitioner to join the Imperial Clinical Site Operations service, working as part of a small Senior Site Nurse Practitioner team who oversee all activity on Trust sites, predominantly working out of hours, whilst occasionally providing in-hours cover for the Hospital Director.
This post offers a real opportunity for a nurse who wants to keep a clinical focus to their career whilst delivering a high level of operational decision making as a senior manager. The Site Nurse Practitioner team are the first port of call for any untoward incidents in the Trust, so the ability to think critically and creatively are essential.
As the role has a large clinical component, the successful candidate will possess a wide range of practical skills and demonstrate a broad nursing background. A non-medical prescribing qualification is essential, and previous operational Site Management experience is also a prerequisite. An ACP qualification or experience of delivering Advanced Practice roles would also be a distinct advantage.

Main duties of the job
- The successful candidate will be a competent clinician able to deliver high quality evidence-based care to patients yet, at the same time be able to meet the challenges of managing a busy Trust both in and out of normal working hours.
- As the most senior nurse and operational manager on site overnight, you will be dealing with a range of and organisational issues in a variety of settings, as well as supporting the wards by providing an Advanced Practice service for patients.

Essential
- Registered Nurse
- Master's Degree in a Healthcare related subject, or substantial relevant experience
- Experience in delivering advanced practice
- Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
- Valid Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support Provider course
Desirable
- Post Basic clinical course
- Evidence of continuing professional development at Postgraduate level
- Advanced Physical Assessment course
- RCN accredited ACP qualification

- Varied post-registration background, including recent Site Management experience at Band 8A or above
- Proven ability to function as a clinical/operational lead
