Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor to cover a current period of Maternity Leave in the department.
You will join our expanding middle grade tier in Paediatrics at Chesterfield Royal Hospital
We are known for our high quality patient centred care, excellent team working, resilience, and our collaborative approach to delivering services for children.
The department is part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire and the Expert Advisory Forum, which advocate for multidisciplinary workforce model which is standardised across the region.
The appointee will contribute to services in Acute Paediatrics as well as level 2 Neonates. Experience in Community Paediatrics would also be welcomed.
The role involves participation in the General Paediatric and Neonatal out of hours rota, which currently incorporates 14 participants. Our aim is to meet recent legislative requirements and make improvements to work intensity during the out of hours period.

- MRCPCH or equivalent
- Valid provider status in APLS and NLS
- Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise

Experience

- Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a relevant specialty training programme
- Experience in paediatric assessment unit and level 2 neonatal unit (3) Teaching experienc
- Ability to teach clinical skills
- Experience of participation in CPD
- Quality improvement/audit project experience with change implemented
