Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse/Theatre Practitioner to join our specialist Pain Management Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic elective service, supporting patients undergoing a range of pain management procedures. The role involves rotational working across admissions, discharge areas, theatres and recovery, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
The Pain Management Centre provides specialist care for patients with chronic and complex pain, delivering elective procedures in a busy clinical environment. You will admit and discharge patients, assist with pain procedures in theatre and support recovery, ensuring safe and effective care throughout the patient pathway.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Assessment, planning and delivery of safe, effective care

- RGN 1st or 2nd Level.
- Evidence of continuing professional development or evidence of reflective profile
- Have experience in supporting learners in the workplace and supervising their progress and/or assessing their practice.
- Willingness to undertake new clinical practices, education and training that will enhance service delivery.
Desirable
- Has successfully completed an previous NMC Approved Teaching and Assessing or Practice Assessor programme or equivalent

- Demonstrates satisfactory clinical expertise for the grade applied for. Experience will be dependent on the post/ward requirements at the time of recruitment.
